Today's post is about my hair makeover at the newly opened salon -- Naoki Yoshihara by Ash! I was kindly invited by Tsuchiya-san, the photographer & executive director of Street Angels Singapore. We met last year when he took a Street Snap of me outside Mandarin Gallery! Thank you so much for inviting me!!ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ

Did you know? ASH (Arte Straits Holdings Pte. Ltd.) is an immensely popular Japanese hair salon chain with more than 100 salons around Tokyo & Yokohama area, which serve about 1.2 million(!!!) Japanese customers in a year. They have opened "Naoki Yoshihara by Ash" as their first salon in Singapore, which is also their first salon in Southeast Asia!! ☆*･゜ﾟ･*\(◕ ヮ ◕)/*･゜ﾟ･*☆

Naoki Yoshihara by Ash is located at the second floor of Liang Court (177 River Valley Road #02-15/16 Liang Court, Singapore 179030), the centre of Japanese culture in Singapore~♫ A perfect location for the salon, don't you think? Liang Court is one of my favourite places; I've attended the miniature clay classes held here and the Kinokuniya upstairs is really peaceful. Plus, the variety of super delicious Japanese cuisine here is amazing!! (〃⌒∇⌒〃)b

As Sato-san was out of Singapore, Imura-san was the one who attended to me! She is really friendly and patiently helped translate what Ishizawa-san said. Currently I only understand a bit of spoken Japanese so that was really a big help,

Check out their gorgeous White x Beige interior! Isn't it très chic? (＞ω＜人) The salon was really clean, spacious and well lit. Their chair's height is adjustable, perfect for petite girls like me. In a nutshell, it was minimalistically decorated yet glamorous, neatly organized and comfortable!

On the left is Ishizawa-san and on the right is Ayu-san. Ishizawa-san is the head of ASH group's creative team, and is in Singapore for its opening period. Ayu-san is a local stylist who has just come back from training in Yokohama, where she learnt the latest knowledge and techniques. All stylists are trained in Japan and certified by the founder of ASH brand, Naoki Yoshihara himself, so rest assured that you're in good skillful hands when you're here!❀

First step of the hair makeover was a consultation with the stylists. They will factor in your hair's current condition, type, your face shape and skin tone to determine what kind of style and colour suits you the best. They are very meticulous and take this important decision-making very seriously, so don't be surprised if this part takes a bit of time! After all, good things are worth waiting for~

With my skin tone in consideration, they decided on a pink-undertone shade, as well as some layering to lighten it. Hair that's too thick can be heavy and appear flat D: My hair is really thick(my mummy's genes) and can be quite unmanageable at times! But with the careful and proper treatment from these reliable stylists, I'm sure it'll blossom beautifully~ Can't wait to see the final results!! (◡‿◡✿)

To be honest, when I looked in the vanity mirror, I was shocked; my hair has never been so perfect before. Every lock of hair was carefully cut and shaped. My hair was めっちゃふわふわ！！ The warmer pink-undertone hair colour they picked for me was just right too, it visibly brightened up my face compared to the previous yellow-ish shade of brown. My hair has been transformed beautifully! The staff are professional yet heartwarmingly friendly and made me feel right at home! ありがとうございました✲゚。.(✿╹◡╹)ノ☆.。0 *゚✲゚* 0。
